President urges WB to mediate in taking SL's current corruption-free status to world

PRESIDENT Anura Kumara Disanayake on Monday urged representatives of the World Bank to assist in conveying to the global community the transparent nature of Sri Lanka's present governance framework, free from corruption.

He noted that such efforts would enhance the country's prospects of attracting fresh investment.
The President made these remarks during a meeting with the visiting World Bank delegation led by Vice President for the South Asia Region Johannes Zutt.
The discussions focused extensively on how the World Bank could support Sri Lanka in achieving its future development.
