LET'S JOIN HANDS WITH RDB BANK TO WIN THE WORLD THROUGH THRIFT
October 31, 2025
|Daily FT
World Thrift Day, which falls on October 31st every year, is a very important celebration that encourages banks and financial institutions globally to instill the habit of saving and to make people aware of the importance of thrift.
-
According to World Savings and Retail Banking International (WSBI), the theme for this year's World Thrift Day is "This is not a Savings Account." Savings is much more than just a deposit account. It encourages people to consider saving as a tool to achieve their dreams and build a secure future.
Thrift simply means the use of money and other resources sparingly and without wasting them. Thrift can be discussed in several ways, such as food security, energy security, protecting the environment, saving time and financial savings.
With 40 years of reliable service, RDB Bank, the country's leading Govt. development bank, invites every Sri Lankan to adopt the habit of saving for a brighter and more secure future on this Thrift Day.
