Introduce hybrid and new energy vehicles to Sri Lanka

DAVID Pieris Automobiles Ltd., (DPA), the four-wheeler sales arm of the David Pieris Group of Companies, announced a landmark partnership with GWM, a global automotive leader, to introduce a new era of hybrid and new energy vehicles (NEVs) to Sri Lanka.

The official press conference about the launch was held yesterday with senior members of the David Pieris Group including Group Chairman and Managing Director Rohana Dissanayake, Mahesh Gunathilake, David Pieris Automobiles Sales and Marketing Head Yasantha Abeykoone.

Representatives from GWM joined the event virtually, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership that aims to reshape the nation’s mobility landscape through innovation, reliability, and sustainability.

The partnership brings together the global engineering excellence of GWM, now operating in over 100 countries worldwide, with DPA’s four-decade legacy of trust and accessibility. Through this collaboration, Sri Lankan customers will gain access to a full lineup of hybrid, plugin hybrid, and fully electric vehicles that combine cutting-edge technology with everyday practicality.
