Punters angry as Mullins mare avoids Champion
WILLIE MULLINS provoked the ire of ante-post punters yesterday when he declared Lossiemouth for the Mares’ Hurdle, not the Champion Hurdle.
There were comments like “bottled it”, “disgrace” and “pathetic” posted on social media, while the most extreme called on fans to boo Lossiemouth after the Cheltenham Festival’s leading trainer u-turned on a two-year plan for the mare.
