Whittaker believes Pilgrims can make some progress now

MORGAN Whittaker is hoping Plymouth's unlikely FA Cup win can be the springboard for a Championship survival mission.
And after new manager Miron Muslic, below, who officially takes charge today, watched Saturday's victory from the stands, goalscorer Whittaker believes the bar has been set high by Argyle's battlers.
The Pilgrims are only three points from safety in the second tier, despite conceding 53 goals in 25 games. But they have now kept back-to-back clean sheets, and the visit to Brentford brought a first win on the road this season.
Whittaker has struggled for goals this term, having scored 20 last season, but his wonderful strike to sink the Bees became an instant favourite.
"It's got to be up there," he said. "The message before was that in the FA Cup anything can happen.
