We'd talk football and go to cricket together...Mick on missing mate Charlie
September 23, 2023
|Daily Express
SIR Mick Jagger has spoken about how he still misses his big pal Charlie Watts after the Rolling Stones drummer died two years ago
The singer said he and Charlie adored watching sport together and both had a huge interest in antiques.
Their support for rival London football teams Arsenal and Tottenham was also the source of much banter between the rockers.
And 80-year-old icon Sir Mick said that the pair shared a love of jazz as he noted that Charlie had eclectic tastes in music.
The sticksman died aged 80 in August 2021, but still features on the band's new album Hackney Diamonds.
