Thank you! Readers' kindness has bought 1,200 hungry kids meals for a year

GENEROUS Daily Express readers have raised enough money to feed more than 1,200 hungry schoolchildren every day for a year.

You have given more than £12,000 towards our Christmas appeal this year - a sum that has been doubled by a group of generous donors.

The UK charity Mary's Meals provides a cup of fortified porridge to pupils in 17 countries.

It has boosted attendance and slashed drop-out rates.
