Taxman is fleeced of £47million

THE taxman has lost £47million after criminals targeted tens of thousands of accounts, MPs heard yesterday.
Two senior civil servants at HM Revenue and Customs told the Treasury committee that 100,000 people had their accounts locked down in an incident which began last year.
