Christmas is now just three weeks away but many people will be dreading it with almost half of us saying we'll spend more than we can afford.

Parents face average bills of more than £1,000, while households without children still expect to spend £778, according to research from Scottish Friendly.
‘The society's savings specialist Kevin Brown said too many don't feel in control of their festive spending.
“That can create stress at what should be an enjoyable time” he added.
Jonathan Watts Lay, director at WEALTH at work, said it's possible to take back control even at this stage, and keep it affordable.
