Spread of algae hits lake and beaches

BLUE-green algae at the UK’s largest freshwater lake is the worst its ever been, it has been said.
It returned to Lough Neagh in the centre of Northern Ireland for the third summer in a row this week and caused the eel-fishing season to be cut short.
