Self-proclaimed 'friendly federal assassin' sent a manifesto hitlist to his family

SHOOTING suspect Cole Tomas Allen sent a manifesto to his family just minutes before he opened fire at the White House correspondents' dinner, it emerged last night.

- BY GILES SHELDRICK Chief Reporter

Allen, 31, said there was a “sense of arrogance” inside the Washington Hilton hotel, according to the document reportedly handed to police by a relative.

He said: “I walk in with multiple weapons and not a single person there considers the possibility that I could be a threat.

“This level of incompetence is insane and I very sincerely hope it’s corrected by the time this country gets competent leadership again.”

The man described by president Donald Trump in the aftermath as a “lone wolf whack job” also referred to himself as the “friendly federal assassin”.

Allen said that he intended to target Trump administration officials, prioritised from highest to lowest, over links to paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein, the Iran war and immigration.

He wrote: “I am no longer willing to permit a paedophile, rapist and traitor to coat my hands with his crimes.” Mr Trump last night referred to the suspect as a “very disturbed person” who hated Christians.

The US president told Fox News: “This guy is a sick guy. He hates Christians, his sister or brother was complaining about it.

“They were even complaining to law enforcement. He was a very troubled guy.”

Mr Trump also praised the Secret Service, adding: “Great talent was displayed last night.
