BRENDON MCCULLUM could be on a collision course with the ECB as the fallout from England's Ashes debacle takes hold.

A five-wicket defeat in the final Test in Sydney closed the book on a dreadful tour.

High hopes of bringing the urn back home dissolved into another heavy defeat as England lost the series 4-1.

The ECB wasted no time in confirming a formal review was in motion, with chief executive Richard Gould revealing that it would cover "tour planning and preparation, individual performance and behaviours, and our ability to adapt and respond effectively".

He added: “We will implement the necessary changes over the coming months.”
