ROCKET FUELLED

RONNIE O’SULLIVAN stormed towards a record-extending 23rd World Championship quarter-final last night.
The Rocket, 49, resumed 6-2 ahead of Chinese qualifier Pang Junxu and maintained his dominance to leave himself one frame from victory at 12-4 up ahead of tonight’s concluding session.
O’Sullivan is bidding to land a record eighth Crucible crown in Sheffield.
The world No.5 revealed he is ready to rededicate himself to the sport by cutting out lucrative exhibitions and getting a new cue in a bid to return to the top.
In recent years O’Sullivan has run himself into the ground with long exhibition tours in China.
He said: “I’m going to give myself two years. No more distractions off the table.
“I'll still do stuff with my sponsors, the academy in Saudi Arabia. But it will be tournaments, getting myself fit and resting. Exhibitions can be a bit of a drain.
