Cafe considers toastie levy to insure against greedy gulls
SANDWICH firm bosses may introduce £1-a-toastie seagull insurance to offset their losses from replacing scores of meals robbed by the birds.
Kate Carter-Larg and husband Sam give free toasties to up to 30 people each day, with some left bleeding and traumatised by gull attacks.
But it is costing the couple hundreds of pounds a day so they have come up with the idea of the optional insurance for their £6.75 gourmet toasties.
