One-hour chase ends in the capture of drugs worth £18m

FOOTAGE captures the moment police snared drug smugglers carrying £18.4million of cocaine after an hour-long chase at sea.

Scott Johnston, 38, of Havant, Hants, and Edwin Yahir Tabora Baca, 33, of Barcelona, tried to outrun officers for around 28 miles after their inflatable was spotted off the coast of Cornwall last year.

At Truro Crown Court last week, the pair were jailed for 24 years and 17 years seven months, respectively.

Michael May, 47, of Brentwood, Essex, and Terry Willis, 44, of Chelmsford, Essex, helped organise the drugs collection.

They were sentenced to 19 years and 21 years eight months in prison.
