Norton doesn't want to keep doing TV into his 80s like Sir Brucie

GRAHAM Norton has no intention of working into his 80s, as he feels that to carry on in showbiz like the late Sir Bruce Forsyth did could be "awful".

The Irish chat show host, 60, admitted it might be "hard to quit", but does not expect to follow the likes of Sir Terry Wogan by remaining a big broadcasting star until his death.

He said: "I was at an awards show and Bruce [Forsyth] was staggering to the stage to do something and Jimmy Carr turned to me and said, 'Isn't that amazing'. And I went, 'No! It's awful!' "I hope to retire. I do think about it, because at 60 it's one of those things. There are all sorts of exit strategies, there's the ultimate exit strategy, but before that there's the other exit strategy."
