News legend Sandy dies aged 97

FORMER News at Ten presenter Sandy Gall has died at the age of 97, his family said yesterday.
He became a household name on the ITN show - which he co-hosted from 1970 to 1991 when it was the most watched news programme in Britain.
But he was already a familiar face as a foreign correspondent.
His family said he died at home in Kent on Sunday, adding: "His was a great life, generously and courageously lived."
