National treasure is a rare colour print

A NATIONAL Trust-owned portrait believed to be an original oil painting has turned out to be a print - and experts could not be happier.

The Three Eldest Children of King Charles by Sir Anthony van Dyck has likely hung at Oxburgh Hall, Norfolk, since the 18th century.

But when it was sent for conservation work, it was found to be a rare print by Jacob Christoff Le Blon the man who invented colour printing.
