Jubilant Diddy cleared of sex trafficking and racketeering

...but music star still faces jail for prostitution

MUSIC mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs dropped to his knees as he was cleared of sex trafficking and racketeering yesterday despite still being convicted of prostitution-related offences.

His trial in New York had heard lurid accounts of marathon sexual encounters Combs called “freak-offs” involving his girlfriends and male escorts. The acquittal on the more serious offences, including sex trafficking ex-partner Casandra Ventura, means the hip-hop star escaped the threat of possible life imprisonment.
