Supporting Newcastle a family affair for new buy
LEWIS HALL quit Chelsea to pursue the dreams of his Newcastle supporting family.
The Blues Academy Player of the Season completed his loan move to St James' Park yesterday, with a £28million permanent deal agreed if the 18-year-old hits "performance criteria" this season.
Hall, who will challenge Dan Burn for the left-back berth, revealed his dad and grandparents "drilled" being a Toon fan into him when he was a child.
He is Eddie Howe's fourth and probably last summer signing, after Sandro Tonali, Harvey Barnes and Tino Livramento were landed at a combined cost by next summer of £155m.
Hall said: "This is a massive club with a big history. It has been transformed last season and is in a transition phase that is a big reason to join.
