'It is fitting my Andrew is now being honoured'

THE widow of hero PC Andrew Harper described him as a "magnificent person" as she welcomed a new honour for the bereaved families of public servants.
Lissie Harper, 33, has fought to rebuild her life since brave Andrew, 28, was killed while on duty in 2019 just four weeks after their wedding.
The Elizabeth Emblem will be awarded to the families of emergency workers who died while on duty.
Lissie, from Oxford, said: "I am not alone in standing proud for a magnificent person taken from us too soon merely for doing his duty.
"I was pleased to hear the recent news about the recognition our loved ones will now finally receive in the form of the Elizabeth Emblem.

"I am very proud of my late husband for all that he was in life and think it is only fitting that he is honoured in his death also."
