A BATTLE trumpet is among a hoard of Iron Age objects discovered on a routine archeological dig.
The animal-headed bronze instrument, called a carnyx, was used by Celtic tribes across Europe to inspire their warriors and fascinated the Romans who frequently took them as war trophies.
