But, far from it, the presenter is primed to take on another 10 years on ITV's popular show with her appetite as keen as ever for grilling politicians or joking with studio guests.

Susanna, 53, filled in for years on BBC Breakfast until landing a full-time job before moving sofas to ITV in 2014.

Now she says: "I'll be at GMB until they decide they don't want me any more. I absolutely love it. Honestly, there is no better job in broadcasting.

"Every day, you turn up at the same time and finish at the same time. But what happens between 6am and 9am is always different.
