Iglesias accused of sex assaults on staff at 'house of horror'

SINGER Julio Iglesias has been accused of sexually assaulting live-in staff at his Caribbean homes, according to reports.

Two former employees have claimed they were subjected to “inappropriate touching, insults and humiliation...in an atmosphere of control and constant harassment”.

The two women, who were employed at the star’s homes in the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas, alleged they were targeted by him in 2021.

The allegations emerged after an investigation by the Spanish TV network Univision Noticias and news site elDiario.es, which collected testimonies from 15 former employees of the 82-year-old between the late 1990s and 2023.

Yesterday, the Spanish National Court prosecutor’s office said it was investigating the allegations against one of Spain’s most celebrated artists.

One of the accusers claims she was regularly called to his bedroom at the end of the working day and subjected to non-consensual sexual contact.

According to her graphic testimony, she claimed to have been subjected to verbal and physical abuse, leaving her feeling “like a slave”. The abuse would only stop when the star’s wife or other guests were visiting, she claimed.
