TRAINING ON HOLIDAY WAS VITAL FOR PEDRO
JOAO PEDRO revealed how he stepped off the beach in Rio de Janeiro in his bid to become a world champion.
The Brazil star, 23, was sunning himself on holiday last week but he is now poised to play in today’s Club World Cup semifinal against Fluminense in New York.
Pedro said he hired a personal trainer because he was aware of Chelsea’s interest and wanted to be in top physical condition for head coach Enzo Maresca.
The striker, who joined from Brighton for £60million, made his debut in the quarter final win against Palmeiras just 48 hours after signing.
“I was in Brazil on holiday on the beach,” said Pedro.
