BEN STOKES denied England lack a ruthless edge and expressed pride over their efforts in such a difficult place to tour.

England lost a Test series under captain Stokes and head coach Brendon McCullum for the first time as India moved into. an unassailable 3-1 lead.

The hosts hit back from 177-7 to keep the firstinnings deficit to 46 runs.

England then crumbled from 110-3 to 145 all out on a turning track to set India just 192 to chase.

The tourists have let slip opportunities several occasions series in this but Stokes has no regrets, promising on commending Ravi Kuldeep and Jadeja for swinging this Test India's way after they shared all 10 wickets in the second innings.
