Skipper Brook hits ton to keep England in the haunt
GHOSTBUSTER Harry Brook took the Aussies on a guided tour of their favourite haunt with a brilliant 87-ball hundred.
Beneath the fortress of Lumley Castle, high above cricket's northernmost Test venue somewhere near the Arctic Circle, Brook's first century as stand-in England captain kept the Metro Bank one-day series alive.
A rousing six-wicket win under the Duckworth-Lewis system sends England to Lord's on Friday 2-1 down with two to play after rain curtailed a rampant run chase.
At 254-4, needing another 51 off 12.2 overs when a teeming shower swept in, Brook was going through his repertoire unbeaten on 110 and the Aussies looked like they had seen a ghost which, not so long ago, one of them was convinced he had.
