EU 'reset' aide could earn £35k more than PM

SIR Keir Starmer is recruiting a Permanent Secretary for EU and International Economic Affairs on a salary of up to £200,000 – around £35,000 more than the Prime Minister himself.

The position, advertised on the Government website, also comes with a civil service pension and employer contribution of 28.97%.

Official figures show Sir Keir earns £164,951 – an MP’s salary of £86,584 plus an additional payment for serving as PM of £78,367.
