ENGLAND'S new defensive coach Joe El-Abd shrugged off the upheaval in Steve Borthwick's staff and compared the set-up to Alex Ferguson's United.

Manchester El-Abd, who is still on a job-share with Oyonnax, had his second day at the RFU yesterday after being parachuted into the job in September.

Felix Jones, El-Abd's predecessor, and strength and conditioning chief Aled Walters handed in their notice as chaos reigned following the summer tour.

But El-Abd, a former Bristol and Toulon flanker, insists the turnover of staff proved no problem to Fergie at Old Trafford and Borthwick, above, is in the same position.
