Eight are rescued from stricken cable car

HELICOPTERS and a zipwire came to the rescue of eight people trapped in a broken cable car dangling high over a canyon.
Six children heading to school and two adults were stuck 1,150ft up yesterday when one of the cables holding it snapped in a remote part of Pakistan.
At least two youngsters were rescued by helicopter and footage showed a child in a harness being pulled to safety.
