A weight loss expert has warned that sweating in hot weather doesn't automatically mean you're shedding the pounds. Instead it could sabotage your efforts to get in shape.

Professor Franklin Joseph of Dr Frank's Weight Loss Clinic, says: “Dehydration can completely sabotage your fat loss. When you're even mildly dehydrated, your body's metabolism slows down, your appetite hormones become disrupted, and you're far more likely to mistake thirst for hunger.” So what feels like hunger is often just your body's way of asking for a drink.
