Diabetes diagnosed ‘in error’

AROUND 55,000 people will be called for fresh blood tests amid fears some were mistakenly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
Machines used by up to 10% of NHS labs in England were found to have produced inaccurate test results.
Some patients were prescribed drugs they do not need.
Sixteen NHS trusts use the machines.
