Des's daughter tackles police misogyny after officer probing mugging asked her on a date

THE daughter of the late TV legend Des O'Connor is fighting to expose "systemic misogyny" in the Metropolitan Police after she reported being mugged and was asked on a date by the investigating detective.

Kristina O'Connor, 37, has waged a four-year campaign against the force over comments made by former Detective Sergeant James Mason, 44.

In a string of flirty emails, he told her she was "amazingly hot" and asked if she wore a bunny costume for her job at the time as a croupier at London's Playboy Casino.

The officer also wrote: "Coming on to victims is positively encouraged, it's all part of the friendly and accessible face of the Met Police." The Police Misconduct panel found him guilty of gross misconduct, but instead of sacking him gave him a final written warning.
