Couple's council tax refund over home in wrong band since 1995

A COUPLE have won a £4,000 refund following a 10-year battle over their council tax bills — thanks to TV money expert Martin Lewis.
Tracey and Peter Craigmile also clinched a tidy sum for the 80-year-old woman they bought the bungalow from — who had overpaid for 20 years.
The couple's wrangle began soon after they moved into their three-bed home in Milltown of Rothiemay, Moray, in July 2015.
It was classed as Band F for council tax — and they learned their seven neighbours' similar places were Band E. Spotting Martin's advice on his website, they got Moray Council to review their valuation.
