Carnival cops arrest 423 people in two days

THIS year’s Notting Hill Carnival passed off relatively peacefully, police said last night.
There were 423 arrests and two non-life-threatening stabbings over the two main days of the event.
Over a million people packed into the upmarket area of West London on each day for the annual celebration of Caribbean culture, now more than 50 years old.
