Cannabis farm growing under the noses of cops
January 05, 2026
|Daily Express
A DRUG farm capable of producing £1million worth of cannabis operated within 100 yards of a police station.
Officers on patrol - both in cars and on foot — remained unaware of the large-scale operation unfolding near their base despite a strong smell.
The drug factory was only uncovered due to the property's astronomical electricity bill.
A Northern Power employee spotted the discrepancy and alerted the police that around £4,000 worth of electricity was being used at the premises in Pudsey, West Yorkshire.
