BBC spends up to £1.1m on diversity and inclusion staff

THE BBC is spending more than £600,000 and as much as £1.1million a year on diversity and inclusion staff, a Freedom of Information request reveals.

The broadcaster employs 15 people in diversity, equity or inclusion roles, equivalent to 13.35 full-time positions as some work part time.

While specific salaries were not provided, the BBC did give salary bands - and analysis shows the bill is between £678,071 and £1,116,796 per year.
