£400,000 horse fall claim fails
March 04, 2025
|Daily Express
A DOGGY daycare boss who sued for £400,000 after injuring her arm falling from a horse has lost her case - after being filmed playing rugby, football and controlling a “big, strong” husky on a lead during walkies.
Hazel Boyd was guilty of “dishonest exaggeration” of the problems the injured arm caused her.
Ms Boyd was riding a three-year-old thoroughbred while working as a stable hand for racehorse trainer Debbie Hughes in June 2020 when she said the horse “spooked” and threw her to the ground.
