27 years for murdering ex-wife at son's grave

A PENSIONER who murdered his ex-wife at their son's graveside in an act of "wickedness" was jailed for at least 27 years.

Martin Suter, 68, lay in wait for five hours for Ann Blackwood, 71, rightly guessing she would visit son Christopher's grave on what would have been his 36th birthday.

Suter stabbed her in the back with a 12in kitchen knife but when that broke, he used her scissors taken to tend flowers to inflict 19 wounds to her neck and shoulder.
