10-year restraining order for Fern Britton's stalker
June 19, 2024
|Daily Express
AN "obsessive" fan of Fern Britton has been banned from Cornwall for 10 years after a stalking campaign that included staying in her holiday cottage there.
James Haviland formed a "crush" on the This Morning star after spotting her while taking photos in the county in 2021, the court heard.
He sent her a bunch of Love Letter red roses with a card reading: "I think you are amazing", and a further note inside saying: "You are beautiful, keep safe, keep smiling."
Haviland, 63, then made an order for a bunch of Get Well Soon flowers costing £57 in June 2022 but he did not complete it. Then in June last year he sent flowers and a card saying "Well Done on Your Running".
