Young cyclist 'was hit by car and left in the road'

A FAMILY have been left in shock after their 10-year-old was hit by a car while out riding his bike during the school Easter holidays.
Cristina Micu, a mother-of-three from Blackwood, has described the horror of hearing that her son Louis was hit by a car while riding his bike near Bloomfield Road on April 16.
At around 10.30 in the morning Louis recalled being in "immense pain" when his bike was struck from behind by a car, leaving him in the road.
Cristina said: "I am still in shock right now. When I first found out I didn't know what to do or where to go.
"A family friend was close by and recognised Louis and he called me.
