A CARPENTER has had his "livelihood stripped away from him" after tools worth more than £3,500 were stolen from his van overnight.

Just after midnight on Friday, April 11, Joel Lamorte's work van, which was parked on his driveway, was broken into by transmitting the keyless entry.

Thousands of pounds’ worth of equipment was stolen.

"This is one of the worst things that could happen to a tradesperson like myself," said Joel, 27, from Caerphilly.

"The people who did this have taken my livelihood away from me.
