Enthusiasts pay a visit to renamed site

THE Peacock Railway was buzzing with excitement as it hosted a memorable visit from Gauge 1 railway enthusiasts who gathered for the official renaming of its renowned table-top outdoor layout.

Organised by dedicated members the South Cheshire Model Engineering Society, the event marked a significant moment for the local model engineering community, drawing guests from across the country to witness the formal naming of the Gauge 1 layout as Adlestrop.

The name pays homage to the original garden railway from which many components of the layout were generously donated.

Chairman of the Gauge One Model Railway Association, Kevin West, joined the ceremony alongside society members and invited guests.
