'We're more ready for Prem this time'
May 09, 2025
|Coventry Telegraph
DOUG King claims Coventry City are better equipped to cope with the pressure of Premier League football if they manage to secure promotion this time around, compared to two years ago when they narrowly missed out to Luton Town in a sudden death penalty shoot out at Wembley.
The Sky Blues had Viktor Gyokeres, Gustavo Hamer and Callum O'Hare on their books in 2023 - three players who would have stayed at the club had City got over the line.
Two years on and the Championship club are two games away from another crack at a one-off, winner-takes-all final at the national stadium where they would face either Bristol City or Sheffield United if they beat Sunderland over their own two-leg semi-final.
