Misery for motorists with temporary traffic lights at every turn

A SERIES of largely unconnected roadworks happening simultaneously across the south east of Coventry are causing misery for commuters and residents.

Ongoing work in Whitley, Willenhall, Ernesford and Binley is leading to daily congestion which in turn is causing friction and frustration.Residents say the issue is reaching boiling point, with standoffs between motorists and police involvement.

"I've never known it this bad," said one resident who lives in Whitley and works in Binley. "Depending on the time of day the traffic to the Marina can be back to Asda island - it's chaos.

"I think the big issue is the amount of roadworks in the area at the same time - temporary lights in so many different places is having a knock-on effect.
