Ebbutt double seals Racers fightback to make Cup progress

RACING Club Warwick and Coleshill Town booked their places in the next round of the FA Cup but there was disappointment for Coventry Sphinx and Atherstone Town while Stratford Town live to fight another day.

There was plenty going on at Kidsgrove Athletic where Racing came from behind to win 2-1 in their first qualifying round tie. Oliver Finney slotted home from close range to hand the Staffordshire side a fifth-minute lead. Aaron Opoku twice had efforts cleared off the line for the visitors before Cameron Ebbutt tucked away a Ryan Moore cross on the stroke of halftime.

Ebbutt then scored Warwick's winner midway through the second half, only for the Racers to have Ryan Andrews sent off ten minutes from the end after he picked up a second booking.
