Coventry man is sent to jail for 11 years for city rape

Edward Kallon, aged 44, attacked the woman in Spon End, last year.

The attack was interrupted when a neighbour heard the commotion and came to the woman's aid, protecting her from further harm.

Kallon denied the accusations, but he was arrested and charged. This week he was jailed after his brave victim helped police build a case against her attacker.

A spokesman for Coventry Police said: “Kallon invited the woman into his house. Kallon told the woman he wanted to have sex with her. Despite the woman saying no, Kallon raped her.
