What benefits are there in a can?

What is in a can?
I can! We can and it seems everyone has a can. What is in a can, especially in the morning? What are the benefits of having all these cans?Do they offer consumers anything or is it just a marketing gimmick? Are they perhaps good for those who consume their contents?
These questions reverberated in my mind as I drove my son and daughter to school on Monday morning.
Generally, I leave home for work after 08:00, but on this particular day I had to leave home just after 07:00 and found myself stuck in heavy Monday-morning traffic. I've become a late riser since my kids stopped attending school in the city and I miss out on many things on the road now.
But on Monday morning, as I drove out of my neighbourhood and all the way to my son's school, before dropping my daughter off in Bellville, I witnessed a lot of people walking with cans in their hands, young and old. They differed in colour but looked the same in size.
