|Carmarthen Journal
OLYMPIC gold medallist Emma Finucane has returned to her home own of Carmarthen to open a new health and wellbeing facility.
The track cyclist, who lives in Manchester where she trains with Team GB, visited KC Leisure in Parc Pensarn to see the state-of-the-art venue for herself.
After a tour of the facilities, which include a coffee shop and cafe, treatment rooms and sunbeds open to all on the ground floor, as well as a women-only gym and studio for classes on the first floor, Emma said she intended to make use of the facilities when she returns home.
"It's amazing to have a women-only gym in Carmarthen," said the 22-year-old.
"It’s important for women to feel confident in the gym and this will give them that space.
