Telangana Jagruthi’s ‘Janambata’ Tour: Kavitha Visits Karimnagar District Inspects Damaged Kalwala Mattadi in Shankarapatnam Mandal

As part of Telangana Jagruthi’s Janambata programme, former MP and Telangana Jagruthi president K. Kavitha began her district tour in Karimnagar on Friday, inspecting the damaged Kalwala Mattadi in Shankarapatnam mandal.
-
Speaking to the media after the visit, Kavitha expressed concern that the irrigation structure, which has been washed away for the past three years, still remains unrepaired. “The previous government had sanctioned ₹70 crore through a GO for the repair works, but after the change in government, the works have come to a standstill,” she said.
Kavitha urged the Huzurabad and Manakondur MLAs to take responsibility for the project's restoration, pointing out that the irrigation benefits both constituencies. “While the reservoir lies in Manakondur, the water flows into Huzurabad. Both MLAs must rise above political rivalry and work together for the farmers’ welfare,” she remarked.
